FARM & FOREST
FOR ALL
Just a short drive away, through the rolling hills West of the Triangle, Saxapahaw Country Club offers a unique opportunity to get out and enjoy nature at a local agroforestry farm. Membership includes access to 31 acres, including primitive camp-sites nestled among dense pine stands, a half-acre pond, and a swing from the branches of a 200-year-old oak tree.

THINGS TO DO
There's a lot to do, both on-farm and nearby!
Bring your tent or hammock. With member camping nights and private camping experiences available, there is no shortage of camping opportunities. Book your visit through Airbnb. We hope to add camping classes and further glamping options in the future.
CAMPING
FOOD AND DRINK
In addition to gourmet campfire meals, we have great breweries and restaurants in the area. The Eddy, Saxapahaw Farmhouse Ales, and the Sax General Store are all nearby. Steel String Brewery also has a location just up the road.
HIKING
The Haw River Trail, soon to be part of the Mountains to Sea Trail, runs right through the village. We hope to add our own hiking and walking trails on-farm by next Spring.
WATER
Between paddling, swimming, and fishing, there are plenty of ways to get your feet wet. Check out the Saxapahaw Lake Paddle Access for an afternoon of fun. Rentals are available at Haw River Canoe & Kayak Co.
MUSIC
The Haw River Ballroom and Saturdays in Saxapahaw keep the village lively with local, regional and national acts. In the future, we hope to develop a stage on-farm for hosting our own shindigs.
CYCLING
With country roads in abundance, the surrounding area is great for a leisurely spin or a 100-mile training ride. The folks at River Mill Cycles in the village are a great resource for a tune-up and some local knowledge.
BUT WHERE'S THE GOLF?
When deciding what to name our 'club in the country', we kept returning to Saxapahaw Country Club.
Aware of the history of classism, exclusivity, and the obvious lack of 'country' that a typical country club is often associated with, we set out to flip the script.

We are taking Country Club back!
We are a Farm and Forest For All. With affordable private land access, events, and more, we don't think you will miss the golf.
Memberships are offered at three levels and scholarships will be provided as we grow to ensure access for all.
OUR STORY
There's something about a drive past fields with barns and silos, or a quiet walk in the woods that makes you take a deep breath in and relax.
Wanting more of this in our lives, we often visited public parks and campgrounds, but it's easy to feel cramped by close neighbors and strict park rules. In talking with friends, we heard that many others shared this feeling. Inspired, we set out to build a Farm and Forest For All. After years of saving and living the frugal tiny-house lifestyle, we purchased 31 acres near the quaint, but happening village of Saxapahaw, NC.
Now we look forward to welcoming friends, new and old, to join us as members and help us grow into a place for events, classes, camp-outs, and more. If you would like to make a contribution --in money, time, materials, advice, or ideas-- please let us know. We're always working on our priority list and adding future projects as funds allow.

See you at the club.
